Investigating the fracturing psychology of a working class American family pitted against impossible circumstances, Dog Days explores the ultimate struggle of humanity—stuck between nature's indifference and society's barely restrained brutality. It asks: is it madness, delusion, or sheer animal instinct that guides us through severely trying times? Where is the line between animal and human, and as civilization breaks down must we give into our animal instincts merely to survive? Featuring searing performances by the original cast—Tony Award-nominee Lauren Worsham, Marnie Breckenridge, James Bobick, Peter Tantsits, Michael Marcotte, Cherry Duke and Bessie and Obie Awards-winner John Kelly—accompanied by Little’s own ensemble Newspeak conducted by Alan Pierson, Dog Days presents a vivid and terrifying prediction of the future as a surreal and eclectic artistic vision.
